Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics Research Guide: Finding Books

Library resources available for biomedical laboratory diagnostics. Last updated: 12/8/17.

MSU Online Catalog

The catalog can be searched to find items owned and located in the MSU Libraries, including books, journals, government documents, DVDs, CDs, and more.

When should you use the catalog?

  • To find whether the MSU Libraries own a specific book
  • To browse for books on a topic
  • To find whether the MSU Libraries subscribe to a specific magazine, journal, or newspaper

NOTE: You cannot use the catalog to find individual articles within a journal. For this you must search in the journal itself or use an article database.

Electronic Books

The MSU Libraries provides access to several electronic books that would be of use to students in Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics. Go to the Electronic Medical Books page and look for books in the following specialties: Laboratory Medicine, Hematology & Histology, Microbiology, Immunology, or Pathology.

You can also search for electronic books and other documents directly in the catalog by choosing "Electronic Resources" from the drop down box instead of "Entire Catalog".
