Search a Book

  • Go to the library homepage, click the second "Library Catalog" tab.
  • Type in the keywords, title, author or call number, click "search" on the right.
  • The result page lists print books and ebooks. Most of the chemistry books are in electronic format.
  • Most of the print books are located in the Main Library basement.
  • Ebooks are accessible on campus and off campus (need MSU ID and password).

This new service provides copies of non-electronic journal articles and individual book chapters that the MSU Libraries own to MSU faculty, staff, and graduate students for personal research. Documents will be made available through your library account.

Search a Journal

To search a journal, NOT the articles in journals:

  • Go to the library homepage, click the second "Library Catalog" tab.
  • Type in the journal title, choose "Journal and Periodical Title" from the drop-down menu and click "search" on the right.
  • The result page lists both the print and e-journals.
  •  A print journal has call numbers that indicate where the journal locates. Most chemistry journals are in the Main Library basement.
  •  An e-journal usually has a tag of "Electronic Resource". Each journal has one or several links with year coverage. You can access e-journals from any computer or mobile device on campus and off campus (need MSU ID and password).
