SW 472 : Social Work in Health Care: Health Care and Social Work Websites

AGESW provides leadership in the areas of gerontological social work education, research, and policy, and fosters cooperation, collegiality, and an exchange of ideas among social work educators, researchers, and students committed to or interested in gerontology.

AOSW is a non-profit, international, 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to the enhancement of psychosocial services to people with cancer, their families and caregivers. Created in 1984 by social workers interested in oncology and by existing national cancer organizations, we have more than 1,200 current members who embrace the AOSW Mission “to advance excellence in the psychosocial care of persons with cancer, their families, and caregivers through networking, education, advocacy, research and resource development.”

APOS was formed in 1986 to bring together professionals working in the psychological, behavioral and social aspects of cancer. Its mission broadened in the early 2000s to network professionals from all disciplines working in psychosocial oncology: nurses, social workers, psychologists, counselors, clergy and psychiatrists. Its annual conference shares new research and new clinical innovations with around 400-500 people.

NHPCO is the largest nonprofit membership organization representing hospice and palliative care programs and professionals in the United States. The organization is committed to improving end of life care and expanding access to hospice care with the goal of profoundly enhancing quality of life for people dying in America and their loved ones.
