  • Michigan Legislature Website
    This service of the Michigan Legislative Council, Michigan House of Representatives, and Michigan Senate provides a range of information including: Introduced bills and joint resolutions; Bills as passed by the House or Senate; Enrolled bills and joint resolutions; Daily journals; Calendars; Bill status (searchable by bill number, sponsor, or category);and Resolution status (searchable by resolution number and sponsor).

  • Michigan House of Representatives
    Go to an individual Committee and find scanned copies of testimony, committee minutes, and a list of legislation referred to the committee.
    • House Fiscal Agency
      The House Fiscal Agency is a nonpartisan agency within the Michigan House of Representatives. Agency personnel provide confidential, nonpartisan expertise to the House Appropriations Committee and all other members of the House on all legislative fiscal matters.
  • Michigan Senate
    Go to an individual Committee and find scanned copies of testimony, committee minutes, and a list of legislation referred to the committee.
    • Senate Fiscal Agency
      The Senate Fiscal Agency (SFA) is a nonpartisan legislative agency created to provide the Michigan Senate with sound and unbiased assistance in two principal ways: providing staff support to the Senate Appropriations Committee and assisting all members of the Senate on State budget-related issues; and providing analysis of all proposed legislation being considered by the Senate.

Governor's Office

  • Office of the Governor
    The official site of the Michigan Governor.  Access press releases, executive orders and directives, proclamations, and more.


  • Finding Aid for Administrative Law
    An administrative rule is an agency's written regulation, statement, standard, policy, ruling, or instruction that has the effect of law. A state agency writes rules under authority of state statute, the Michigan Administrative Procedures Act, the Michigan Constitution, and applicable federal law.

    The Michigan Administrative Code is a compilation of all adopted rules and regulations that are in effect in the State of Michigan.

Attorney General

  • Attorney General Opinions
    The Attorney General, the chief legal officer, is the lawyer for the state of Michigan. This elected state officer establishes the official legal position for the state, and renders opinions on questions of law when requested to do so by the Governor, Legislature, or any other state officer.

Michigan Bill Tracking Service

The Michigan Legislature website offers a notification service.  You must register for a free account.


Michigan Votes is a bill tracking service from the Mackinaw Center for Public Policy.  Create an account and then sign up to receive email updates to be notified if a bill you are watching has any action.  The site also allows you to track legislator voting records.
