These volumes are guides to the archives of organizations and societies of the period, guides to the private papers of selected public servants, guides to the private papers of members of parliament, and guides to the private papers of selected writers, intellectuals and publicists, and a supplement. A second edition of this work is called Longman Guide to Sources in Contemporary British History, of which two volumes, dealing with post 1945 organizations, societies, and individuals papers are covered. This is in Reference at DA 566.2 .C66 1994 v. 1-2. New information about persons in the earlier 20th century may be found here, as well as first time coverage of persons not in the earlier edition; you may need to use both sets.
