  • Gale Literature Resource Center

    The Gale Literature Resource Center search screen defaults to an author search. Simply put in author's name, first name last. Pay attention to tabs at top of results page for further, full-text, articles from professional journals.

    Also try the Reference component of LION by choosing Criticism and Reference at top left, then simply Reference.

  • American National Biography

    Not only for researching playwrites, but for research on all Americans of note throughout history.

  • Oxford Dictionary of National Biography

    A biographical dictionary that covers all of British history. Also great for researching characters covered in Shakespeare's histories, for example.

  • Contemporary Theatre, Film & Television

    A Who's Who biographical dictionary. 77 volumes.
