The Library of Congress Geography and Map Division has scanned a few thousand fire insurance maps published by the Sanborn Map Company housed in their collections of the Washington, DC. Only a small percentage have been scanned to date, but Flint, Michigan 1886 is included.
The Kentucky Sanborn® Maps Collection brings together over 4,500 map sheets representing over 100 Kentucky cities and towns. The maps show property lines, buildings with construction and insurance characteristics and addresses.
The holdings range in date from the 1880s to the 1950s and cover more than 150 cities and towns across the state. North Carolina Maps features online all of the North Carolina Collection's Sanborn® maps produced through 1922.
