MSE 466 Design and Failure Analysis: Standards

ASTM Standards Online

ASTM Standards & Engineering Digital Library

ASTM International is a voluntary standards development organization with members from over 120 nations. ASTM develops technical standards for materials, products, systems, tests and services. ASTM publishes over 12,000 standards in 15 sections. Starting with 2010, MSU Libraries has online access to the ASTM standards currently enforce.  Since not all ASTM standards are revised each year, the online version of the ASTM standards will contain standards dated prior to 2010 as long as they are the most current version of the standard.   Before using the ASTM Standards online click on about  for instructions on how to use this resource.  Older print versions of the standards are not available online but may be available in the MSU Libraries at the call number TA 401. A653.  For further information about ASTM standards and help using them, contact the Engineering Librarian.

The SAE Digital Library is a searchable database providing online access to the full text of the Society of Automotive Engineers Technical Papers from 1990 to the present , and also includes the SAE Ground Vehicle Standards.
