Below is a list of SELECTED databases for finding journal articles on literature. These databases contain both scholarly and popular articles. MLA International Bibliography (CSA interface)

MLA (Chadwick-Healey interface)

Produced by the Modern Language Association, this database consists of bibliographic records pertaining to literature, language, linguistics, and folklore. Provides access to scholarly research in over 3000 journals and series. It also covers relevant monographs, working papers, bibliographies and other formats.

Humanities Abstracts

Index to articles in over 400 humanities periodicals in archaeology, art, classics, film, folklore, journalism, linguistics, music, the performing arts, philosophy, religion, world history, and world literature. Mainly secondary sources.

Historical Abstracts

Index to articles in over 2000 history journals covering non-U.S. history, 1450AD to the present.
