Note: Access to the DynaMed Plus mobile app is available through the MSU Libraries subscription. You must sign up on campus or through the library proxy and use your email address to get the correct authentication code.

Visual Dx
Visual Dx is a web-based clinical decision support system designed to aid in the identification of dermatologic, infectious, genetic, metabolic, nutritional, and occupational diseases, benign and malignant growths, drug-induced conditions, and other injuries.
Available formats: Android, iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch

Cost: None for MSU users
Note: Access to the Visual Dx mobile app is available through the MSU Libraries subscription. You must sign up initially on campus or through the library proxy.


  1. Click this link to VisualDx and log in with your MSU NetID and password.
  2. Choose the "Get Mobile" tab from the tob of the page and create your personal username and password as instructed. 
  3. Once you have a username and password, you can download the FREE VisualDx Mobile app on your mobile device from the App Store or from Google Play.
  4. Launch the VisualDx app from your device and sign in using the username and password you created.

Epocrates Essentials is an all-in-one evidence based reference resource for drugs, diseases, lab tests and panels, treatment guidelines, approximate test costs, and diagnostic tools.

First Consult
The First Consult app brings you evidence-based information on the screening, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.

The Electronic Preventive Services Selector (ePSS) was created by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services to help clinicians identify the screening, counseling, and preventive medication services that are appropriate for their patients.
