Search by Author:

Type the author's last name first, followed by the first name (if you know it). For example:

Search by Subject:

Find materials ABOUT an author (such as criticisms and interpretations) by doing a subject search using the author's name (last name first, followed by first name). For example:

  • Keller, Gottfried

Search by Keyword:

Find materials addressing a particular topic. For example:

  • "Literary collections"  (to find examples of anthologies)
  • German literature themes 19th century ("and" between words is assumed)
  • Kleist and criticism and interpretation
