Film: Usiliye (Directed by Dickson Mwape, Zambia 2023: 23 minutes)

In the aftermath of a brutal attack on their village by rebel groups, Tumelo, a man in his early 30s, along with his 7 months pregnant wife Amina late 20s and their son Sabiti 12, find themselves fleeing into the forests of Bunagana village in the DRC. However, their escape leads them straight into the clutches of the most dangerous rebel group in the area.

A Zambian filmmaker, social entrepreneur, and educator with over 7 years of experience.

Wilkins has featured and pioneered award-winning feature films that amplify marginalized voices and challenge social injustices. He is the founder and executive director of ZATU Creatives Foundation, empowering young creatives through mentorship, education, and community development programs. Through ZATU Creatives Foundation, he is establishing countrywide training hub centers for film, art, technology, and capacity building, fueling his passion for improving lives and fostering social transformation. He is an alumni of the Prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship.
