Finding Books and Films in MSU Library Catalog

For films, also choose Material Type: VIDEO/VISUAL and put  film* in search box. 

For literature (novels, poems, short stories), it's best to search in English for an author, and find the standardized way that his/her name is spelled in English library catalogs.

You can browse for Arabic literature in the Main Library on 4th floor West side, beginning at call number PJ7501.
Literature is organized by country.

For example Nawal El-Saadawi is Saʻdāwī, Nawāl. and many of her works can be found at call number PJ7862.A3


Streaming Middle East Films

MSU login required.

Swank is a streaming platform for more popular films. Search by title or filmmaker/actor only.

Many more films are available on DVD via the library. Check the library catalog for film title or filmmaker name, or contact me for assistance.
