Polling the Nations began in 1981 as a database of American public opinion published in a book format (American Public Opinion Index). Over the years the database expanded to include surveys in Europe, Canada, Mexico, Africa, and Asia, in an electronic format.

The Library owns almost all the materials indexed in ProQuest Statistical Insight.
Contains the Canadian census 2011 which consists of the Census of Population and the 2011 National Household Survey. The Census of Population data plus Social Explorer tables cover topics such as age, sex, families, household and marital status, dwelling and other data. The 2011 National Household Survey includes income, education, labor, immigration and other data.
