KIN 121: Healthy Lifestyle: How to Locate Journals, once you have found the Citation

This is a course guide for students interested in library resources and materials for the class Health Lifestyle. This guide will assist students with locating some of the most frequently used print and electronic resources.

The easiest way to locate a journal is to search the MSU libraries' online catalog

Conduct a title search of the journal that contains the article you want. For example, you've found the article "The Efficacy of Exercise as an Intervention to Treat Recurrent Nonspecific Low Back Pain in Adolescents" in the journal Pediatric Exercise Science, August 2007, Vol.19, Issue 3: 349.

From the Main Library's homepage, click on Advance Search: Catalog, click on Title, type in (the title of the journal) in this case Pedatric Exercise Science.

If MSU has access to the title, there should be links to the paper and/or online version of the journal. MSU has this title in print and online from 1989-present. so the article "The Efficacy of Exercise as an Invention to Treat Recurrent Nonspecific Low Back Pain in Adolescents" is available electronically and in print.
