Find High Impact Journals in a Subject Area

Find Journals with High Impact Factors in a Subject Area

  • Go to the MSU Libraries homepage at
  • Select ‘Resources’ and click ‘E-Resources’
  • Click ‘Web of Science’ (in right column)
  • Click ‘Additional Resources’
  • Click ‘Journal Citation Reports’
  • Select ‘Science’ or ‘Social Science edition’ and Click ‘Submit’
  • Scroll down to choose a subject category.
  • When the category opens, you will see the journal titles in alphabetical order (default).  You can change the drop-down menu to ‘Impact Factor’
