E-books and E-readers at the MSU Libraries: Apple & Android Devices

Mobile Devices & Library E-books

Most ebook collections with unrestricted PDF chapter downloads can be read with iOS or Android products, though most must be accessed from a web browser and devices will require a PDF reader.

To use EPUB and Digital Rights Management (DRM)-protected PDFs, (EBSCO and Proquest Ebook Central primarily):

a) Create an Ebook Central or EBSCO account

b) Download the Adobe Digital Editions app (or other reader) app from the Google Play Store on your Android device or from the app store on your iOS device.

c) Create an Adobe ID.

d) Search the collection using a browser and download e-books directly to the device.

Alternatively you can also download a book to a computer with Adobe Digital Editions installed to read on the computer or to transfer the book to a device that way.
