TE 348: Reading & Responding to Children's & YA Literature

Follow these steps exactly to access the journal Language Arts to find book reviews.

  1. Start at the library homepage -
  2. Click on the link for journals (under the big search box).
  3. Type in the journal name in the box (e.g. type in Language Arts)
  4. Select the "National Council of Teachers of English" link.  You might have to sign in with your NetID & password at this point.  Then, you should see a page with a lot of journal covers.
  5. Pick one and scroll through the list of articles until you see something titled "Children's Literature Reviews" or similar (usually toward the bottom).

Book Reviews

There are some publications that focus on reviewing books.  The ones linked below review children's and YA literature.  The title link takes you to the library's subscription of the journal, which is free for you.  But I've included their websites, though most will require a subscription to view content on their sites.
