College Guides and Directories

College Guides and Directories are shelved in the Career Collection on 1 East. College Guides located in Closed Reference may be requested at the Main Library Reference Desk (1 Center) for use within the Main Library.

To locate college guides and directories, do a subject search in the library catalog for "universities and colleges - directories" or "college majors - united states - directories".

Accessing Library Resources

Current MSU students, staff, faculty, and retired faculty can access MSU Libraries' electronic resources from off-campus and can check out print materials form the library, or have print materials sent to them.

Non-MSU affiliates (including MSU alumni) can access electronic resources (like databases and e-books) by using the selected resource computers located in the Main Library. Print materials can be viewed inside the Main Library. Non-MSU affiliates can also request print materials through their local public or university library via interlibrary loan.

Non-MSU affiliates (including MSU alumni) who are eighteen years of age or older and who are Michigan residents are welcome to sign up for a community borrowers card with MSU Libraries. Learn more at this link under the heading "Community Borrower Privileges."

Questions about electronic resource access can be directed to Discovery Services at 517-353-8700 or reachout@msu.edu.
