MSU Libraries received voluminous materials from India through the Library of Congress acquisition program until 1987. Since then collecting from the entire range of Asian areas from Afghanistan south and east to the Pacific has been emphasized, in support of MSU's Department of Education Title VI National Resources Center for Asia. Current acquisitions include all U.S. and British university press books, most "trade" books, journals, and other selected research materials in English, Chinese, and Japanese both in paper and electronically.
