If you know the title of the film you want to watch, you can search for it in the library catalog's Title Search. Here you will find VHS and DVD films available in the library as well as some films that can be streamed directly.
A Keyword Search for director or actor can also help you find specific films.
Using an Advanced Search, you can search for films by language or other characteristics. Use the Language and Material Type boxes to search for films in the language you are interested in. Using "Video/Visual" for the Material Type will have the most results.
You can also use keywords in the search boxes to narrow your search. Use an asterisk (*) if you want to see all results instead of searching with a keyword.

Subjects in the library catalog use a specific set of terms, or a controlled vocabulary. The easiest way to figure out what subjects to search for is to find a film similar to what you are searching for and look at the subjects in its catalog record, listed under Subject. Click on these to see all the films listed under that subject.

The Rovi Media Collection was donated to the MSU Libraries in March 2015 by the Rovi Corporation. It includes nearly 700,000 music CDs, more than 160,000 DVDs and more than 17,000 video games.
