Hollander Makerspace MakeStation Training: Cricut Maker

Training and guides for using the Makerspace's self-service MakeStation equipment.

Cricut Maker

The Cricut Maker is free to use but you should provide your own materials. We have a small selection of scrap and test materials but size, amount, and color availability is not guaranteed.

The Cricut Maker is advertised as cutting over 300 materials! The Cricut website has additional information on the materials they support. If you don't see your desired material listed and you think it can be cut with a tiny blade, you are more than welcome to try cutting it! Popular materials include adhesive vinyl, heat transfer vinyl, fabric, paper, cardstock, sticker paper, and more. We've had limited success with thin wood, for cutting wood we recommend using our laser cutting fabrication service.
