Selection of communication and media and information studies materials extends beyond the call number ranges listed above. The interdisciplinary nature of communication and media studies involves selecting materials broadly throughout the collections in areas such as (among many others) health communication, gender and media and representation, mass media and social aspects, and information and computer science. The Communication Studies Librarian purchases communication and media and information studies materials across the collection, in collaboration and consultation with other subject librarians when appropriate.
