The APA Style Manual includes more than just guidelines for citing resources. It also includes chapters on the entire writing process. Chapter 4, "The mechanics of style" includes sections on how to write with numbers(pp. 111-114) and how to write statistical and mathematical copy (pp. 115-124). The section on statistical copy explains how to write formulas, how to report inferential statistics in text, and proper use of statistical symbols. Chapter 5, "Displaying results" (pp. 125-168) covers how to format tables and figures.
