The prompts will guide you through setting up an account under MSU's subscription.

Evidence based point-of-care tool created to assist with bedside diagnosis and treatment.

Cost: Free for MSU users. This resource is available only to Faculty, Staff, and Students logged in with their NetID. MSU subscribes to DynaMed.

Installation: This works best from a computer, not a mobile device.

1. Click on the MSU Library link to Dynamed (above) . You should be prompted to login with your NetID and password if you are off campus.
2. Click on the Sign In/Create Account button in the top right corner of the Dynamed homepage.
3. Enter your account details. Try to use your @msu.edu email. Make sure the "institution" field says Michigan State University. You will be authenticated as an MSU affiliate and will get an activation key so you don't pay for the app.
4. Submit your account information and an authentication key will be emailed to you.
5. Open the Dynamed email from your mobile device and tap on the authentication key link. Note: This authentication key will expire within 48 hours. After 48 hours you must request a new key.
6. Because you signed up for mobile access after logging in using the library link above you will be authenticated to use the Dynamed mobile app through the MSU Libraries subscription. Your subscription will lapse in 12 months. To continue to have access to the app there is a link within the app to send yourself a new authentication code.

The Prevention TaskForce (formerly ePSS) application assists primary care clinicians to identify the screening, counseling, and preventive medication services that are appropriate for their patients.
The Prevention TaskForce data is based on the current recommendations of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) and can be searched by specific patient characteristics, such as age, sex/gender, and selected behavioral risk factors.

VisualDx is a visual clinical decision support system designed to aid in the identification of dermatologic, infectious, genetic, metabolic, nutritional and occupational diseases, and more. Included in the MSU Libraries subscription is in-app access to Derm Expert.
Cost: The app is free to MSU users through the MSU Libraries subscription, on the App Store.
Installations:
1. Use this link https://www.visualdx.com/visualdx/?sso=MSU to VisualDx and, if off campus, log in with your MSU NetID and password.
2. Click the "create personal account" icon from the bottom of the page.Using your @msu.edu email, create your personal username and password as instructed.
[do not use the 'sign in' option in the top right - that will not authenticate you properly]
3. Once you have a username and password, you can download the FREE VisualDx Mobile app on your mobile device from the App Store.
4. Launch the VisualDx app from your device and sign in using the username and password you created. This username will authenticate you as an MSU affiliate because you signed up originally while accessing the site through the MSU Libraries link.
