MSU-affiliated users are required to make a free account in order to access these reports through Smithers Intelligence Platform.
Smithers requires users to create individual accounts using their msu.edu email address.
Create a Smithers Intelligence Portal account using your MSU email by filling out this request form. An activation email will be sent to your msu.edu email after completing and submitting the form. This process can take 4-5 business days.
Once your account is activated you can access Smithers Intelligence Community Portal and the Packaging Market Reports for all future visits at the Smithers website.
Click Sign in at the top of the page.
After logging in, you're take back to the Smithers homepage and will need to click on My Account in the upper right corner.
To view the market reports that MSU has access to, you'll need to click into the Smithers Intelligence Platform.
You should now be able to access the market reports.
