TE 348: Reading & Responding to Children's & YA Literature

Spring 2020

COVID 19: IRL Options

Need books for your IRL Project but not in East Lansing?  Some options below!

1.  The MSU library can mail you books from the children's literature collection.

-Find the book you want in the catalog, click the purple "get it" button and then select "request item as distance user".

2.  Check out your local public library's e-book collection.  Often public libraries have an app called Hoopla.  East Lansing Public Library (ELPL) does.  Hoopla has children's books so check that option out.

(Remember, you can also get a library card through ELPL - https://www.elpl.org/get-a-library-card-2/ - so you could do that & use ELPL's Hoopla!)

4.  If you have Amazon Prime or Kindle Unlimited, sometimes you can look at books that way too.

If you have questions or need help, please email me!  I'm here!

MSU Library

Children's & YA books can be checked out for 21 days.  There's no limit on the number you can check out.  The collection is located on the 2nd floor of the west side of the main library.  Ask someone if you can't find it!

East Lansing Public Library

The East Lansing Public Library is located on Abbot just north of the Union.  MSU students can get an ELPL library card - you just need to show your MSU ID.  They have a fantastic children's collection that's much bigger than ours.
