Book Searching

Try the Library Catalog

If you know the title or author of the book you want, the Library Catalog is the easiest place to search. After you search, limit your results by checking the "catalog only" box on the left side panel of the results page - this will ensure you only see Books and eBooks.

NOTE: the Library Catalog has more than books - you can also search for movies, CDs or journals by name.

What if my book is not there?

If the book is CHECKED OUT or not in the MSU Libraries' collection, you may request our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) department find and borrow it from another library and have it delivered here for you. Alternatively, if you only need a chapter or two, Interlibrary Loan services can scan and email you a pdf. Visit the Interlibrary Services page to view your options and make any book requests.
