The Alumni Office annually recognizes Spartans who positively reflect and enhance the prestige of MSU in five award categories: Service, Distinguished Alumni, Honorary Alumni, Philanthropist, and Young Alumni.
All MSU alumni can access discounts including insurance from Liberty Mutual, medical insurance from Mercer, travel insurance from USI, the official Spartan ring from Jostens, gear from Rally House, and diploma frames from Church Hill Classics. Alumni who join the Spartan Loyal program by making a yearly donation, receive even greater discounts to both on-campus and off-campus partners.

Spartan Alumni Clubs promote and enhance Michigan State University by offering programs and experiences within the communities they serve. There are more than 100 alumni clubs worldwide that bring Spartans together for local events, activities and service opportunities.
