This guide will go over the basics of creating video and photography for the 360 in the Digital Scholarship Lab. It will touch on shooting video, editing, and screening content in the 360.

Creating simple 360 web presentations with Google Slides

The above image is an example of a Google Slide set to 8x1 aspect ratio. This is the aspect ratio of the 360; once you have that template set, you can put in many different types of content.

Google Slides

Google Slides can easily facilitate student creation of presentations that work in the 360.

To set up the slides for viewing in the 360:

  • File Setup > Page Setup
  • Select "Custom" 
  • Input 8000 x 1000 pixels
  • Change Sharing Settings (Gear in top right) to "anyone with link can view"

Any website can display in the 360, but that content normally displayed over a computer screen is then distributed over the course of the entirety of the 360.
