The World Bank's Open Data initiative is intended to provide all users with access to World Bank data. The data catalog is a listing of available World Bank data sources.

Contains over 6,000 books, reports, journals, and working papers from the World Bank, including the final, peer-reviewed versions of the Bank's formal publications.

"GenderStats is an electronic database of gender statistics and indicators designed with user-friendly, menu-driven features. It offers statistical and other data in modules on several subjects. The data in each module is presented in ready-to-use format. Users have the option of saving the country views in Excel (or another spreadsheet software) to customize them for their own reports."

JOLIS is the network Web catalog of all the libraries of the World Bank (IBRD) and International Monetary Fund. It includes references to books, journal articles, working papers, conference proceedings, technical reports, videos, software, electronic resources, and more.

Provides the world's most comprehensive firm-level data in emerging markets and developing economies for over 120,000 firms in 125 countries and expanding. Data are used to create indicators that benchmark the quality of the business and investment climate across countries. Data includes surveys on topics such as finance, infrastructure, sales, competition, crime, business-government relations, labor, and performance. Researchers have full access to survey data.

Education is one of the most powerful instruments for reducing poverty and inequality and lays a foundation for sustained economic growth. The World Bank compiles data on education inputs, participation, efficiency, and outcomes. Data on education are compiled by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Institute for Statistics from official responses to surveys and from reports provided by education authorities in each country.
