AGU American Geophysical Union  Dedicated to the furtherance of the geophysical sciences through the individual efforts of its members and in cooperation with other national and international scientific organizations.

American Metereorological Society Promotes the development and dissemination of information and education on the atmospheric and related oceanic and hydrologic sciences and the advancement of their professional applications.

National Centers for Environmental Information NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) hosts and provides public access to one of the most significant archives for environmental data on Earth. 

National Weather Service  the sole official voice of the U.S. government for issuing warnings during life-threatening weather situations    

NOAA - Central Library Foreign Climate Data - Links to data arranged by country or region.  The time period of coverage ranges from the 1830s through the 1970s with most data from the period prior to 1960. Each series typically includes observations for a number of meteorological and other geophysical parameters.

NOAA - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association

United States Historical Climatology Network (USHCN) is a high quality data set of daily and monthly records of basic meteorological variables from 1218 observing stations across the 48 contiguous United States
