Access After Leaving MSU

At MSU you have access to many databases, journals, and books. But where do you go for information once you leave MSU? The resources suggested here are free or lower cost and may help.

Unfortunately the MSU Libraries are unable to provide alumni with access to our electronic resources. Our licensing agreements are very strict that we can offer remote access to these resources only to MSU affiliates (faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students). MSU alumni are not considered affiliates for licensing purposes.

If you live near campus you are always welcome to come in and use our resources at the Selected Resources computers near the Reference Desk. Michigan residents also have access to a collection of online materials through the Michigan Electronic Library (MeL).

If you are going to another university you will likely have access through their library subscriptions. Contact your librarian for assistance.
