To locate books on specific topics, search the Library Catalog. 

Search by Author:

Type the author's last name first, followed by the first name (if you know it). For example:

• Goethe, Johann Wolfgang
• Heine, Heinrich
• Hesse, Hermann

Search by Subject:

Find materials ABOUT a subject, including criticisms of an author's work: For example:

• Brentano, Clemens
• Keller, Gottfried

Search by Keyword:

Find materials addressing a specific topic. For example:

• "Literary collections"  (to find examples of anthologies)
• German literature themes 20th century ("and" between words is assumed)
