Bloomberg offers 4 certifications:
1. Bloomberg Market Concepts (most common and best for business students)
- A self-paced training available on the Bloomberg terminal that provides an introduction to the financial markets.
2. Bloomberg Finance Fundamentals (best for all students including those outside of Business)
- A self-paced, interactive e-learning course that provides an introduction to the key concepts involved in finance and investment.
3. Environmental Social Governance (ESG)
- a self-paced, interactive e-learning course that provides an introduction to implementing ESG strategies and ESG reporting.
4. Bloomberg Spreadsheet Analysis
- a self-paced course that provides foundational skills in Bloomberg Query Language (BQL) and its practical application within Excel.
- To access type BCER in the cursor and press Enter < GO>.
- You must create an account/login using your @msu.edu email address.
- If you are taking the certification for a class please input your class code during the registration process.
- At any point in Bloomberg, type BPS <GO> for a list of tutorials and cheat sheets.
- Please note: You'll want to bring earbuds or check out headphones to listen to the videos while in the library.
