Latin American History Guide: Citation Helps

Don't forget to cite!

Chicago Manual of Style

Citing E-books: The various style manuals provide guidance specifically for citing e-books.

Under the heading "ebooks" in the index at the end of the Chicago style manual are references to the sections of the manual dealing with e-books, including guidance on how to cite an electronic reprint of an earlier, printed edition, published before e-books were available:

Citing Media: For notes and bibliographies according to the Chicago style, see:

  • 14.265 (video and film recordings)
  • 14.267 (for citing YouTube videos, podcasts and other online multimedia)

Chicago's Quick Guide has sample citations for various types of sources.
